Full fescue renovation is different again. When mixed grasses, weeds, or a failed stand need a fresh start, we use a non-selective herbicide on a first visit, return in about 10–14 days, then aerate, seed, fertilize, and compost-top-dress the clean slate. We will not upsell you a renovation if compost top dressing is enough—or sell compost TD as a substitute for fixing why moss owns a shady low spot. Assessment and diagnosis come first. Root causes (shade, irrigation habits, compaction, drainage, traffic) still matter after any seed truck leaves.
What success looks like (and what one visit will not do)

A weed-dominated stand usually needs renovation, not compost on the wrong grass. A solid lawn that only needs density insurance may be better served by fall aeration and overseeding.
