Deep Core Aeration
Deep Core Aeration is vital for relieving compaction and ensuring ongoing turf health year after year. There is no substitute for mechanical, deep core aeration performed with high quality machines. Our teams use high end ride on aerators that pull ~3 inch deep, full cores from your soil. In some cases, due to access issues, we may need to use walk behind machines, and in those situations we still use the largest/heaviest machines available and take great care to thoroughly aerate the soil. Aeration is physics to some degree, and the heavier and more powerful the machine is the better and deeper the cores!
Many customers ask us about "liquid aeration" or tell us "their lawn care company already does their aeration". While these processes may provide some benefits, we encourage customers to do their research on the differences. Aeration is a core part of our services and we invest in the best equipment available. Liquid aeration, in our opinion, is mostly marketing and is not a subsitute for mechanical deep core aeration. Other companies who offer aeration as part of their maintenance plans often rent equipment or use the smallest/lighest machines available (similar to what you'd rent at a big box store), and as a result may not be doing as thorough of a job when aerating your lawn.
We offer the best possible aeration services with the best machines available, and we perform that service with service technicians who aerate millions of square feet of turf each season!
Whenever aeration is performed, we do ask that homeowners mark sprinkler heads or any other inground components so that our crews can take care not to damage any of these systems. This can be done with marking flags or bright spray paint, and in all cases our teams try their best to stay a few inches off of the sidewalks, driveways, and beds where sprinkler lines and heads are often located.
