CORE AERATION:
The southern states of the US tend to have soils with a high percentage of clay making them very hard and compacted. This makes it difficult for water, fertilizers and air to penetrate into the soil and reach the root systems. Compaction also contributes to thatch buildup . Core type aeration was created to solve this problem. Core aeration is a process in which a machine pulls plugs of soil out of the ground, creating holes where water and nutrients can reach the root systems.
